Donation of a large size Tangka - Awalokyishara, to Dawang Temple in Sichuan province
Sichuan earthquake caused damage in Meishan Dawang Temple; Buddha sculptures were very much damaged.  Our association has decided to donate a Tangka of Awalokyishara, which is 2.6m long and 1.4m wide, estimated the completion by this November.  The painting is under Tangka teacher Lama Khedup’s full instruction; it is also the compassion from Tibetan people of Shangri-La to whom has lost their relatives and homes in the earthquake in Meishan.  We wish there will be no such disaster in the future and peace in Meishan people’s life.

Canadian writer Jeff Fuchs' new book "The Ancient Tea Horse Road"
A new book <The Ancient Tea Horse Road>, written by Jeff , published by Penguin Group Canada, is writer’s experience together with Dakpa Kelden, our association’s founder. The book descripts “Shuffling through a field, Dakpa began singing, to warn the residents of our arrival. It was with an eye to both safety and courtesy that he sang……” “In the years I had known Dakpa, it was his ability to accept and move on that I most admired; it was his consideration of others that made him one of the few truly noble people I know.” It is a reference to our preservation of Tibetan culture of the ancient Tea Horse Road.
